@drtimmercer: Save your money. 🛑 #Bioresonance #allergy testing is completely unscientific and can lead to dangerous dietary restrictions or a false sense of security with real, severe allergies. Your immune system doesn't emit "frequencies" a machine can fix! Shaking a peanut at your DNA does not tell you if you are allergic or not. #generalpractice #gp #allergytest

I understand this. I understand what you’re saying and I don’t disagree BUT. My son has had extensive allergy testing on the NHS over multiple years and he’s been under the allergy specialist for 12 years. The bloods and the skin prick tests do not match. So much so that he was told to avoid all nuts but can actually eat some and not others and over the years as his confidence has grown he has eaten some specific types of nut (and legume) - so not even nhs ‘non Mumbo jumbo’ testing is actually accurate

What do you make of the ‘Health tests’ you can get in supermarkets? Like the home Cholesterol Test or Iron Deficiency Test?

What about the fingerprick allergy/intolerance tests that you can buy now? Are they reliable?

Isn’t the problem that the NHs can’t get them the tests they need? Not the ones they want, but tests that are clinically indicated?

My 7 year old has been on the waiting list at alderhay for 7 months after a severe reaction to pistachio. No wonder people are desperate, no private clinics will see her as she’s under 12.

My 7 year old has a recent Psoriasis diagnosis. She has arranged blood tests for her for a lot of different things and checking for other auto immune conditions. Is what you are talking about different from the nhs allergy testing etc that our gp is doing?

Seems to be targeting Lyme patients too… 🧐 I know the NHS don’t seem to “believe” in Lyme, but the absence of care is pushing more and more patients to seek out alternative pathways in desperation…

If you’re allergic to Kiwi you could Potentially be allergic to latex? Up to half the people who have a latex allergy are also allergic to fruits such as Kiwi, Banana’s, Avocado, papaya and then chestnuts. This is due to proteins in these raw fruits are very similar to those in natural rubber - ie latex and the body can’t distinguish between them. 🙃

It is so frustrating that so many unsubstantiated health checks and supplements get pushed on to the vulnerable general population then we have to deal with the consequences. There has to be some sanctions against unverified health claims!
