This needs to be reposted and shared. Lately, I’ve seen a growing amount of hate directed toward Israelis in Siargao, and it is very alarming. I’ve also seen claims that even public figures are posting anti-Israeli content, though I cannot confirm whether those reports are true. As a Filipino living in Israel, this deeply hurts me. My heart is with the people of Israel, and I strongly condemn hatred and discrimination against anyone based on their nationality. What frustrates me most is seeing people share and repost content without taking the time to understand the full story or learn the deeper truths behind a complex situation. It is easy to follow trends and narratives, but much harder to seek facts and understanding. We may have different opinions, but hate should never be normalized. Let’s choose knowledge over ignorance, facts over assumptions, and respect over hostility.
