Tbh I think they’re gonna accidentally kill this show by systematically getting rid of everyone’s favorite characters until it’s just Noah Wyle and I think they are wildly overestimating his appeal as an actor. I don’t dislike Robbie as a character but if it turns into the Robbie show I will not be watching

I’m going to wait and see how it pans out. Surely they must know if they greatly reduce her role how it will look. If anything, this is a way to get around the fact that since she’s still a student she would be on another rotation and possibly at a different hospital. Whitaker is there after 10 months because he’s not a student anymore. He’s an intern. After his medical student rotations he applied to many programs and I’m assuming including at PTMC. I’d guess that due to his work during the Pitt Fest incident that the management there were happy to have him on for his residency. For the 4th season, depending on how long the time jump is, I’d say the most likely to be gone would be Langdon, al-Hashimi or Javadi. Unless Javadi decides that emergency medicine is for her and she applies for a residency there. For Langdon, he could get a fellowship or even attending(?) to prolong his stay. That is of course if the next time skip is still set before July of 2027, so it would still be in the same residency year as season 2 and 3.

on this episode of which WOC is the Noah Wyle show getting rid of this time i’m this close to writing my own show, somehow getting it into production and casting all the people we love that are being written off or hinted at being written off

i bet people will say that this is “realistic” and doesn’t indicate any patterns in which type of characters get written off 😁 to that i’d like to remind everyone that after s1, the writers literally spaced s2 around having whittaker and langdon to be back! somehow couldn’t do that for samira and javadi though….

The worst part is that it actually makes sense for Javadi to be fully out or just in for 1 or 2 episodes in season 3 and maybe back 100% for season 4. That's a story driven decision. But the optics/pattern are not good.

Me rocking back and forth trying to convince myself that this won’t reduce her screen time despite the show being called The Pitt and being set in the pitt ED. Even if it doesn’t, the optics look SHOCKING

I've said it before but I'll beat this dead horse again, the pitt as it was set up in season 1 never should've been a continuous story and stayed a limited series unless they were setting up for Robby to realize he needs to get away from the hospital and start doing temp assignments across the country so they can keep the rotating cast and highlight challenges different areas face within the healthcare system, because now they've locked themselves in this strange half rotating/half consistent cast with each "story driven" decision on who stays and who goes under more and more scrutiny

i mean duh? that's what expected? it's literally teased in the last season, last episode. she's a medical student, she still has to do rotations. plus Noah confirmed that she isn't leaving
