I think most countries learn more American History than in the USA.

My son was telling me that Canada is the reason for many Geneva Convention laws. I need to know more.

As an American that went to history class… we require 1 semester IN ALL OF HIGH SCHOOL of world history. The extent that we learn about Canada is that it exists.

We in Canada learn about the world, not just Canada. We pride ourselves on our broad knowledge so we can understand other countries, their paths to the present so we can live peacefully with others. 🌎😎

You could send your notes, but I’m not sure the current administration could read them.

I think instead of us trying to make Canada a 51st state, maybe Canada should add 50 provinces.

As an American, I don't know anything about the Canadian education system, so I'm genuinely curious as to why you teach so much about our history... I know we're your neighbor, but for the life of me, I don't remember learning even a fraction of that amount about you guys! lol But then again that is our education system lol

Do you cover the role the efforts in Britain to abolish slavery had in the ignition of the war of independence? In my limited opinion, it’s the core reason for the war. Also, they never really won independence, the French did that for them. Many make the case that the USA has never won a war. They just take credit and abuse the weakness of the countries that actually did the fighting. It’s easy to have economic might when your factories were never bombed.

honestly I think you cover more in your American history class than I did in an entire semester ( 4mths give or take). As a 45 yr old can I come sit in on your class, or could you do like a zoom or something. I feel like I'd learn a lot more lol

See, in Canada (and many other countries) we are interested and we teach our children about other parts of the world. America thinks only of America. There is a whole wide world out there, bigger and better than America..I promise. Go out there and see.

I need you to offer this as an online class so we can get a true version of American History instead of the brainwashed version that is being taught in our U.S. schools.

You teach in Ontario. This may not be what all students across Canada are taught. Curriculum vary across provinces as that is provincial jurisdiction.

The fact that you do Indigenous history at all, means your students know more about it than most US citizens........ The closest US schools typically get is the fake version of Thanksgiving and the Trail of Tears

Graduated in 2009 we didn’t learn about indigenous people before Columbus lands (very little after that) and nothing on Vietnam war. (I’m from Oklahoma)
