This scene reminded me of my mom talking about a close friend of hers who was a lesbian. They had been close since high school, she would visit my mom for getting her hair done too. They had a sleepover, my mom was staying with her for the night to take a break from her parents which she told my mom she had feelings for her. She was very mindful of the fact my mom didn’t see her like that but my mom was flattered that she thought of her fondly. My mom passed in 2019, I kinda wish I knew where that friend went or if she’s still around.
