the designer talk goes hard. it’s a plastic lamp and it is overpriced. the texture is not new. the forms are not new. woven and hand crafted with sustainable materials? that would’ve been great

a 3d printed lampshade that takes hours and hours to make, a brass base you can get anywhere for a tenner, and a design that could be mass produced out of coconut fibers, a sewing robot, some resin and a uv light which would have had a better color, a more esthetic appeal and wouldn't look like an overpriced piece of plastic a teenager buys on temu.
