a correction of what you said in slide 3 :artists drew lions ext. unrealistycally cause they did NOT KNOW how a Lion looked and drew them by a description from someone that was in Africa or someone that have seen lions ! Example of a description: "It looked like a big cat , with a lot of fur on their neck , and they had a big mouth with sharp teeth. They also had big paws with sharp claws and their tail was shorthaired , untill the end, where their tail was fluffy." -Imagine drawing a Lion , without seeing a Lion ! That's why the exotic Animals were drawn unrealistycally , Altough i still agree that the medieval art-style was unrealistic ! xx

History nerd :

Artist from that time didn’t draw and realistic that he had to draw from descriptions so a description of a lion that’s how they draw it. That’s why like all drawings of elephants look really weird.
