Exactly that's why The Herta is goated for Connecting to Droidhead first Before Irontomb. The 4th instant didn't became destruction cuz she integrated Trailblazer as the variable for the universe's fate. It got them computing giving inconclusive as answer for now but atleast its not destruction. Giving Cyrene a time to defeat Irontomb which didn't complete self coronation and recreate the destroyed worlds because of Irontomb's black tide or Anti-Organic Life equation.

Yes and no, because Irontomb was supposed to basically become body of Nous and change his code, so it would turn away Nous from their own path, but this is less of Nous’ own decision and more like a virus attacking a computer. Then, there is a question if Nous would even be Nous if it had a body, Nous becoming part of some other creature may not be necessarily Nous turning away from its path rather than destroying Nous by creating a new being entirely using its “corpse”.

While yes, Irontomb was suppose to make nous “choose” destruction nous technically couldn’t choose anything. Lygus was banking on the fact that when It makes a prediction that the world locks it into that path, it’s the whole reason Herta had to rewrite the 4th instance.

one way to kill an aeon is to deviate them from their own path. In this case Nous, Monarch of Myriad Machines is a giant computer head and Lygus' plan was to change the instants in his creation's calculations from the Erudition to Destruction.
