The main reason the show is so entertaining is due to the diversity of the cast and how well rounded all their stories are, making them easy to align and relate to, and allowing the audience to become invested. By scrapping well-liked characters each year, you no longer have character investment, meaning the show will lose all it's interestingness

S2 is the start of the downfall. The plotlines were weak and nobody asked for a Dr. Robby-centered show. S1 is loved because all characters had fleshed out storylines.

I love the Pitt, but absolutely agree with this. Dr. Robby’s scenes are impactful BECAUSE we see a bunch of other storylines, not because it’s the only storyline. I hope someone tells Wylie to calm tf down at some point.
