This poor baby did everything right. He had a right to defend himself. I’m mad at myself for thinking the law would apply to us like it does for them. Hindsight they should have gotten that boy out of the country instead of walking him into a situation where he was railroaded. No justice was served here.

In the case of Kyle Rittenhouse, the jury actually reached a “not guilty” verdict on all charges. Here’s the straight answer to your question: He was charged with homicide and related crimes after shooting three men during the Kenosha unrest in 2020. The defense argued self-defense, saying he was attacked and feared for his life. The jury accepted that argument because under Wisconsin law: If someone reasonably believes they are about to be killed or seriously harmed, they can use deadly force. Once self-defense is raised, the prosecution has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it was NOT self-defense. The jury concluded the prosecution didn’t meet that burden, especially with the video evidence showing chaotic, fast-moving confrontations where he was being chased or attacked.
