I have NEVER seen this much engagement from Asian Americans before. There have been more Asian Americans speaking out about black people boycotting Asian businesses than actually calling out Rick Chow and the anti-blackness within the Asian community.

i don’t feel that the boycott is necessary nor fair at all. what happened to cyrus was wrong. he was innocent and rick chow should be in prison. anyone responsible should be held accountable , but blaming a whole race is not justice. anti blackness is global and SOME asian communities participate in it while denying it. i don’t think it’s fair to criticize the entire asian community because not everyone is like that. but there’s also anti-asian prejudice in some parts of the black community. both are wrong and neither justifies the other. neither should be blamed on the entire race

generalizing all asians as being anti-black is no different than generalizing any other race with a negative stereotype. idk why it’s so acceptable to combat racism with racism, especially when it’s against the asian-american community. i think rick chow was completely wrong and should have been convicted guilty. but using the exact reasoning racist white men use is just so wrong

People are failing to realize that even when black people are being racist towards Asian Americans our own community DOES hold them accountable there are so many people and video and many black people that boost the videos with comments and likes peaking out against one of our own hurting your people, however it’s never the opposite. The entire Asian dispose only cares when it’s about them there were a few to none of Asians speaking out against Cyrus. The problem only arised with yall speaking out when black people said they aren’t going to businesses where yall have a prejudice against us secretly behind our backs and it’s being shown. It’s been shown with the DEI issue and the fact that most Asian Americans have monoracial friend groups or don’t even associate themselves with us period. Black Americans wanting to build and support their own businesses is not racist, they realized they are putting their money into other communities that don’t gaf abt us unless it’s regarding to their pockets, because yall have more outrage about that then a boy literally being killed. I never see an Asian American in a soul food spot or a carribean spot(not saying it’s never happen) but it’s not common as you’ll see a black person in an Asian restaurant. Yall say it’s wrong because he’s Chinese and it has nothing to do with yall but yall ahve been doing the exact same thing to us for years because all u see us black, not Jamaican, not Ghanaian, BLACK. We want our community to prosper just as yall have yours, you don’t even see your community hiring black people in hair stores aimed at for black people .
