With all due respect, Gensan was not ‘flooded with help’ as many people assume. The reason Gensan received so much attention online was because videos and photos from the city were among the first to be uploaded and shared during the earthquake, which made them go viral. That doesn’t mean assistance immediately reached everyone here. Many residents were also waiting for help and dealing with the same fears, damages, and uncertainties caused by the disaster. This is not a competition over who suffered more. Gensan, Sarangani, and other affected areas all experienced the impact of the earthquake. Instead of comparing communities, let’s support one another and ensure that help reaches everyone who needs it‼️

Some areas still have no signal or means of communication, and many communities have been heavily affected. Please help spread this information so that assistance can reach those in need. Many residents may not have had enough to eat or may already be running low on supplies.
