it's because morning people think they are justified in this because "they should be up by now" and night people have been told its something bad to stay up late. when in reality, different people have different circadian rhythms and everyone should be considerate of the people who live in the same space

I will never understand the moral superiority of morning people. I know some who think it’s a literal ethical and moral failing to sleep til 9am. Like I literally can’t fall asleep before 3am sry

omg. this is painfully accurate. I even fully rotate the door knobs before slowly closing them to avoid all sound, my husband just closes them loudly when he gets up and turns on lights.

This was my parents growing up. I've been a night owl my whole life and my Dad was vacuuming at 7am on a Saturday for 3 hours 😂

My first job out of high school had strange hours (7PM-3:30AM) and my Dad would vacuum at least twice a week around 8AM. He had inventory at his job and was on overnights for a week, so I set my alarm one morning and left the vacuum running outside his bedroom door about 3 hours after he went to sleep. He stopped vacuuming at 8AM after that.

I'm both a stay up late and get up early person, yay insomnia. However, I'm respectful at both times UNTIL it's about 11am and then it's pretty reasonable to just live life normally bc it's no longer early.
