Soccer is not a priority at all in the US and the USMNT still consistently make it to the elimination rounds… if our star athletes grew up playing soccer instead of the big 3 sports, I would argue the World Cup wouldn’t be as popular as it is because it would just be a forgone conclusion that the US would win every year and not as exciting.
