From my limited knowledge, I think it’s bcs him and young lean pioneered what the cloud rap genre is today, if not made it. A lot of artists that are underground adjacent such as pinkpantheress Charli XCX Oklou love bladee. Slightly unrelated but there’s a trip hop band called alpha and they’re not mainstream they have 24k yet somehow thom yorke, David Bowie and Coldplay love them so despite not being popular in the traditional sense they are of course influential
