I'd recommend gel polish or a structured gel overlay instead. Acrylic on toenails can trap moisture, increasing the risk of fungal infections, and its added thickness may cause discomfort in closed shoes. Gel is thinner, more flexible, and generally healthier for the natural nail.

Gradually file the acrylic down off the nail with a nail filer until your natural nail resurfaces and never do acrylic on toes .
