This is actually interesting. What if the Entity somehow can see other realities in like a multiverse of sorts and in every single one Bear and Nikki do get together. But, in this one Bear just had no confidence to be honest with Nikki and made the wish instead. That would pretty much confirm Nikki is interested in Bear at the start when she was visibly annoyed at him not admitting his feelings.
