I got told a lot growing up that I look like my dad bc I don’t have mums curls. Which to a young girl is genuinely annoying (I love my dad but I didn’t want to be told that I looked like a man at the age of 6) as I’ve grown up and I look at pictures of my mum at my age I feel I look more like her every day. I have her smile and it makes me feel so beautiful

I have red hair and was a huge emo and desperately wanted to dye my hair. My mom wouldn't let me because I would "ruin" my "beautiful" hair. In retrospect I am really glad I didn't risk damaging it, but as an adult I dye my hair ombre style so the roots stay virgin and I still get to experiment with colour and style. Just wanted to pass along this compromise for the future teen years 😂

both my mum and dad have dark brown hair and so do all of my siblings, red hair runs on both sides but I'm pretty sure that's why my dad's dad's family don't like me because they don't believe my dad is my dad because he's not ginger

Hair changes from when you’re a baby to when you’re an adult! :) I had straight hair till I was 10, then it started getting holy fucking puffy cause I didn’t know how to take care of it
