to make things clear i watched and read both series and subaru is a realistic rbd user while encrid is clearly mad and both others did a great job representing the characters and their ways of using their rbd example: subaru gets PTSD in the 1st season of rezero anime while encrid sees that rbd (walls) are the best way for him to grow stronger and become a knight

tbf encrid is born in a world where war is basically a normal occurrence, while subaru is just a normal highschool student who got transferred into another world. His mind is not ready at all in another world. I'm not glazing Subaru or anything, i love both characters but i just don't understand why y'all hate subaru for being "realistic". If I'm in his shoes, I would not last a day

You can't compare the two characters because first of all Subaru came from another world and has more like a personality of a modern person adapting from a fantasy world full of magic, powers, curses and etc. While Encrid has more like a calm/ never give up mentality because in his mind, without breaking those wall he can't progress any further which correlates to the fact that he is already in his world which is comparable to a medieval period where strength has a lot of impact in terms of power. Secondly, their RBD basically works differently. When Encrid activates RBD he still remembers his training/muscle memory from his past loop. While Subaru only remembers what happened. But I would say Subaru is more relatable aside from the fact that he came from a modern world like us What he experienced is probably what we would expect if we get isekai'ed. (Lot more worse if we don't have the RBD).
