Cherry Bounce Part 2 for Day 17 of our Recipe Advent Calendar! 🍒 If you made a batch of cherry bounce when we first shared this in September, now’s the time to open it up! If you missed part 1, cherry bounce is a sweet liqueur made with cherries, sugar (we used honey) and typically brandy or bourbon. It’s popular for the holidays, so you’re supposed to start late summer to enjoy now! A few days ago, we added in 1 cinnamon stick, 2 whole allspice, a few cloves and a cardamom pod for extra holiday flavor. This is totally optional, but feel free to add it today so it will be ready for next weekend! Once your cherry bounce is ready, strain it and keep a bottle stashed in the fridge (it tastes best chilled!). The infused alcohol can be stored at room temperature indefinitely. The finished product is sweet, a little tart (we used tart cherries) and absolutely packed with cherry flavor. It’s delicious! You can enjoy it chilled as a cordial, or try adding it to a cocktail. It’s delicious with a splash of sparkling water or soda! After you strain the cherries, let them dry off for at least an hour. We also pat them dry with some paper towel to soak up excess moisture to make sure the chocolate coating sticks. Dip each cherry in melted dark chocolate using a toothpick, then transfer to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate until set, then keep them stored in the fridge. They’re SO delicious - just make sure to keep them away from kids! Make sure to bookmark this post so you don’t forget to make cherry bounce last summer! Let us know if you have any questions in the comments below. #cherrybounce #christmasrecipe #christmascountdown
