I’ll explain it to you. I’m Brazilian and this is Fordlândia. In 1927, Henry Ford bought a large area in the Amazon to grow rubber trees. All machinery and equipment were shipped from the United States starting in 1928. Between 1929 and 1934, the crop failed due to pests and unsuitable conditions. The project closed in 1945, and the entire structure was left abandoned.
