@thebritspot: On 24 May 2026, Rushabh Patel was enjoying a Bank Holiday picnic with his wife, Mili and their 18-month-old daughter Vrumi at Newport Pagnell Beach when he spotted two people struggling in the water. He immediately jumped, but in the process of saving them, Rushabh suffered a cardiac arrest. He was airlifted to Milton Keynes University Hospital, where doctors worked tirelessly for days to save him. Tragically, despite every effort, Rushabh passed away on 28 May 2026. He went on to donate his organs to save 5 more lives. "Rushabh's final act on this earth was one of extraordinary courage and sacrifice. His legacy continues in the hearts and lives of those he saved," his brother said. A GoFundMe has been set up for the family and has raised about £56,907 to date.
