@jessie_morales: Red flags that l ignored I'm sharing this because if it helps one person question their body sooner, it's worth it. Before I was diagnosed, my body was whispering... then screaming. And I brushed it off. • Excessive underarm sweating: that came out of nowhere • More body odor than ever before: no matter what I did (which makes sense now, since my lymph nodes are involved... but instead of questioning it, I just kept layering on more toxic deodorant) • Night sweats: I blamed on hormones and my period...not just a little sweaty, but waking up drenched and changing clothes in the middle of the night • Crushing fatigue: no matter how much I slept, how much caffeine I chugged, or how hard I pushed through I told myself: "I'm a working mom with two kids... this is normal." But it wasn't normal. These were red flags that something wasn't right. Are these official symptoms of breast cancer? I don't know. I'm not a doctor. But these were real changes in my body that I ignored...and I ended up with stage 3 breast cancer. Please don't ignore the "little" signs like I did. Question everything. Advocate for yourself. And most importantly...do your self breast exams. They can save your life. If this helped you, save it. If you know someone who needs to hear this, share it. I keep telling my coworker I can’t shake this exhaustion off my body no matter what I did. Went to the dr for my yearly check up. She said you need mammogram I said I’m okay don’t need one. She was so angry with me and she said you must go and i don’t want to hear another word. I love my spicy dr. She saved me. 2 surgeries and soon will be going through radiation. God is good.

Same for me! Horrible night sweats that I woke up drenched. Not just “hot flashes” and the exhaustion was unreal. Could take multiple naps a day and still be so tired!

I had all if these and chalked it up to perimenopause. Looking back, I wish I would have questioned it sooner.

Diagnosed with stage 2. The free breast screening mammogram I had a month before diagnosis did not pick it up. I had found a lump and didn’t want to pay the $500 gap fee so went for the free one. I didn’t trust the results so ended up going and getting a follow up ultrasound. They detected it and did a core biopsy straight away. Having surgery next week and radiation therapy. I’m so annoyed that women have to pay to have this done, it should be free.

Night sweats and tiredness got me stage 2 triple negative but I also had breast pain. OBGYN said probably hormonal and I said Naww this isn’t normal. I sweat a lot anyways so I’m not sure if that was part of mine either.

Same with all of these symptoms. Diagnosed stage 2 grade 3 er+ breast cancer. Went through chemo and radiation. Six years later these same symptoms are back and affecting my life. Going to see my oncologist on Fri. Don’t ignore these symptoms. Listen to your body!

I had all those too and genuinely thought it was perimenopause but ended up learning it was endometrial cancer that spread to my left pubic lymph nodes.

Thank you for this!!!! I too had extreme underarm odor. I would take 3+ showers a day and come out still smelling like onions. My dr didn’t see this as concerning along with n*p discharge. She said prob nothing but we will sched a mammogram. TG for the ultrasound bc it didn’t show up in the mammo.

I didn't have lymph node involvement but I swear I had more increased BO under my left arm and turned out to have stage 1 IDC in my left breast. Had 3 tumors all under 1cm. I found it after my 2nd mammogram at 43. Get your mammograms ladies!

I had no symptoms, just felt a small lump in my left breast and went for a mammogram hoping to hear that it was just a cyst. Biopsy results confirmed that I had a grade 1, 1cm breast carcinoma 🫂
