@jessie_morales: This was my first Taxol infusion, and one of the known side effects is neuropathy (nerve damage in the hands and feet). To help prevent it, they recommend cold mittens and booties during treatment. And when I say cold... I mean COLD. You have to wear them the entire time Taxol is infusing, and I'll be honest, it was way more painful than I expected. I didn't prepare my hands at all, so the beginning was rough. My nurse was amazing and grabbed me socks to put over my hands, which made it a little more tolerable. Next time, I'll definitely be bringing gloves to layer….you can still feel the cold (so it's doing its job) without feeling like your fingers are getting frostbite. Chemo teaches you real quick that preparation matters. If you've done Taxol: What helped you get through cold therapy? Drop your tips below to help the next person walking into that infusion chair Save this if Taxol is in your future or you're supporting someone who's about to start. + Follow along for real, honest chemo experiences.. the good, the hard, and everything in between #b#breastcancerb#breastcancerjourneybreastcancerawarness

I had 12 rounds of Taxol. I didn't do any of the cold therapy, and thankfully didn't have any issues until the last couple treatments. The last few weeks I had some neuropathy, not severe, but enough to be bothersome. Wishing you much success.
