Brandi Alisa Justin :
my teachers always said your sections should be thin enough that if you put a newspaper under it you could still read it no problem, if you cant read through your section its too thick

maximum blending is going to be from a diagonal Forward or a diagonal back. a horizontal line will give you more of a solid appearance and more of a veil that would cover this section but it will not blend it covers just my opinion

Mrs. Morrison :
iv had this done and it always has a lone at my scalp because my hair is darker brown....no matter how thin ,horizontal lines WONT blend when it starts growing out even a little bit and when especially when the toner fades....when it gets weaved thinner AND at an angle....ITS FLAWLESS....especially when it grows out!! so this doesnt work on everyone and seems like alot of more work....i usually never have to root tap or melt when I weave in a diagonal section...just sharing my method

Can you show us the four top foils? I alwayssss do a Mohawk and I’m very interested to see an easier/ just as effective way!

i get what she’s trying to say but respectfully i disagree. slices are good for underneath if they wanna be super blonde, but on top if you do just a slice, that grow out will be horrendous

Problem is when it’s horizontal on the part line you have to make sure you have their part line exact before you foil

I do diagonals around the hairline for the first few foils, and then switch to horizontal. Works like a charm everytime 🔥

What about a client who changes their part and you want to make sure they have some on their part?

What if they part their hair in different spots and you do horizontal?

The thinner the section the more the line blends

I struggle with getting a stripe at the top, no matter how much I feather it up and how much I soften it and no matter what I do it’s the line on top. I can’t fix so I usually just melt it out, but it drives me crazy.

I like this because I hate weaving and I don’t want to do it. I have a highlight this Saturday, I’m trying this
