@gandaboysofficial: We recently had the privilege of sitting down with Hon. Peter Sematimba, a true legend, diaspora returnee, and one of the pioneers who made a lasting contribution to Buganda’s media and music industry, as well as Uganda as a whole. From the very beginning, Hon. Sematimba proudly identified with his clan and cultural roots, inspiring many of us to embrace our heritage and take pride in who we are. His work helped shape a generation that values culture, identity, and innovation. Our journey with him began many years ago when he premiered our very first recorded song while we were only 14 years old. He also gave us the opportunity to perform at Nakivubo Stadium during the reception celebrations of the wedding of the Kabaka. Those moments played an important role in shaping our musical journey. Years later, we were honored to sit down with him once again, this time seeking wisdom on how we can create an even greater impact through music, culture, and service to our people. As always, he shared invaluable advice drawn from decades of experience, leadership, and dedication to Buganda and Uganda. We are grateful for his guidance, encouragement, and continued belief in young people who are committed to preserving and promoting our culture. Conversations like these remind us that every generation stands on the shoulders of those who came before it. Thank you, Hon.
