For the people in the comment section that don’t understand. If you have 500m and you decide to buy a house atleast 250m, right? That same kind of house you could atleast or get somewhere very comfortable at 6m to 15m annually, you furnish and the rest money still plenty for hand, now you take that 250m and invest in some kind of business or bond like cbn and get atleast 10% interest annually, you’ve covered your rent yearly still left with some money, in 10yrs time you’ve only spent let’s on average 60m to 150m on the rented house and your 250m would have accumulated over the years to something like 400m to 600m, you’ve doubled the money. For a house it looses value as it gets older especially in Nigeria, a house is not an asset unless you’re renting it out. So don’t think of the comfort that comes with it but the alternative. We just see owning a house as an achievement, but it’s still a liability. Peace n Love
