Looks to me like suicide by cop. It’s safe to say that guy knew exactly what would be the response from those officers if he pointed a “weapon” at them.

Not the cops fault. Anyone can say a guns a BB gun, doesn’t mean it is. Also, a BB gun is still a gun, some of those air powered BB guns can shoot darts, pellets, or even small caliber rounds in addition to BB’s . A BB alone might not kill you but you can certainly lose an eye. If someone points a gun at my head I’m pulling the trigger too. There are lots of unjustified shootings from cops , but this is not one of them.
