It is very unfortunate what the ANC has done to South Africa. S.A can produce it's own electricity, oil, nuclear, food and anything else that's needed for a country to self sufficient. The apartheid government was able to survive under sanctions because it was able to produce everything to run the economy. The Rand was at par with the Dollar until the ANC took over. Now we have to beg for electricity from neighbouring countries as if S.A doesn't have coal power station which can be reopened to generate electricity. S.A has abundance of coal. What a mess the ANC has been to South Africa.
