POV: Lee Heeseung was known as the weirdest person in your classroom. Not only was he the class weirdo, but he was also the class nerd. Every day, he would approach your classmates and talk about the Big Bang Theory or sometimes Toy Story. To them, it was weird. He always wore a smile that everyone found creepy, which was why some of them warned you to never get close to him. You were confused by everyone because, to you, he was just a normal boy living his life. On the outside, Heeseung's life seemed miserable. Most of the time, he got bullied because of his appearance. One time, his glasses were even broken because some boys picked on him. Yet he was still smiling. After some time, you became curious about him. Before dismissal, the teacher announced that your partner for the science project would be Heeseung, which surprised you a little. “Hey, you're Y/N, right?” Heeseung immediately approached you from behind, startling you. He chuckled before sitting beside you. “So, where should we do our project?” he asked. You looked around and saw your classmates whispering about the two of you before looking back at him. He was smiling again—with that smile everyone always talked about. “You—” You were cut off when he suddenly leaned closer. “My place?” he suggested with a big smile. You were about to ask why he had already decided, but he interrupted you before you could speak. You shrugged and decided to go along with it. “Yeah, sure...” you replied as you packed your books. “Okay then! I'll see you later, Y/N!” he said excitedly before standing up, grabbing his bag, and waving goodbye. You shook your head. That was the first time you had ever talked to him. Then someone slammed their hand on your desk. “Girl, you better change your partner. You wouldn't want that nerd to be your partner for this project.” “Yeah, you should listen to her. Usually, Heeseung does the projects all by himself.” You looked up before shaking your head. You were still going to be his partner whether they liked it or not. Not because you wanted to—but because you were curious. Why had he suddenly become the class weirdo? He wasn't weird, though. Well... maybe sometimes.
