The Afari Military Hospital was initiated under the government of former President John Dramani Mahama. The funding agreements for the project were initially drafted in 2008 under President John Agyekum Kufuor, but physical construction officially began in 2014.This should have been completed under the previous government yet it was use for a cathedral pool.
