@pawmegranart: Junior review gave me a bit of a crisis on the type of art I make and why I make it. It led to my final semester as a Junior being a rocky one, as I started to overthink why I am doing this in the first place. I’m feeling a lot better going into senior year, I’ve decided to just keep making what makes me happy. #artist #illustrator #art #cuteart #artschool

Art class should focus on technique! The fish smiling is a weak critique. He’s happy because he’s a silly guy. Your love for personal art will bring you fulfillment in your job, and if the job is marketing, it will bring you joy to examine it on your own time

Yo, that rat king one is absolutely phenomenal! I think the comment attached with it comes from that the piece showcases a level of talent in skills that aren’t as well utilized in some of the others or aren’t as showcased due to medium restraints.

The art style marketable comment drives me nuts, on one hand I get it, but I'm so tired of art classes myself telling me that the stuff I enjoy is not me, whereas the experimental stuff is. They're both me!!! Anyways your stuff is so so so awesome ( ≧ ▽ ≦ )

I think you could really make acrylic work for you honestly, the strong pigment and texture from the brushstrokes works really nicely with your subject matter. Guache might be a good middle ground if you're willing to try it

"...it feels more like you" is such a weird jab. like a person can draw both grim and whimsical right? its like getting a slice from your two most favorite cakes. keep it up, I dig all that youve showed!

See this is why I’m terrible at taking critiques because if I made any of these pieces and got that feedback for them I’d lowk tweak out because what 😭

My art teacher: only paint things that are marketable. Nobody wants anything original / your teacher: This is too marketable make it more creative 🫪

You should try guache paints! I felt the same way with acrylics and preferred water colors- guache allows for more depth and contrast while still acting like a water color

Easy Nutella Brioche Rolls 🍫🥖 Soft, pillowy brioche rolls filled with creamy Nutella, perfect for a homemade bakery treat! 📖 Ingredients 200 ml warm milk 60 g sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional) 7 g instant yeast 2 large egg 500 g all-purpose flour (plus extra if needed) A pinch of salt 100 g unsalted butter, softened Nutella for filling 👩🏻‍🍳 Method 1. Combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Give it a quick stir and let it stand for a few minutes until slightly foamy, then beat in the eggs and add the vanilla extract. 2. Add the flour and salt to the mixture and stir until everything comes together into a shaggy dough. 3. Start kneading the dough, gradually incorporating the softened butter in small portions. Continue kneading until the dough becomes smooth, stretchy, and elastic. 4. Transfer the dough to a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and leave it in a warm spot until it doubles in size (about 1 hour). A warm, steamy oven can help speed this up. 5. Once risen, gently deflate the dough and portion it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a round. 6. Flatten each ball into an oval or rectangle. Spread a layer of Nutella over the surface, leaving a small border. 7. Fold the dough over the filling, then cut slits along one side and twist or wrap them over to form a braided effect. 8. Arrange the shaped rolls on a lined baking tray. Cover loosely and let them rise again until they look soft and puffy, about 30–45 minutes. 9. Brush the tops with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F until golden and cooked through, roughly 18–20 minutes. 10. While still warm, lightly brush with melted butter before serving. #nutellarecipe #brioche #EasyRecipes #briocheroll
