Plus the hotel perks! I always tell Amex card holders to book with Amex bc you’ll get f&b perks like $100 credit, free breakfast stuff like that.

Heads up, in terms of travelling many places outside of North America won’t accept AE. Including many countries in Europe and South-East Asia. I can’t speak for any South American countries bc I haven’t travelled there.
