Absolutely Not! The Ferber method is it mamas. I hope this reaches the right audience, I’m not here to shame anyone’s parenting buttt please don’t let your baby cry. They’re a little brain does not comprehend when the caregiver leaves the room if they’re crying is because one of their needs is not being met. My baby sleeps through the night and I never did anything he Ferber method. I would feed my baby get them into a deep sleep, lay them in the crib and as soon as I would see that they’re waking up or hear something I would come and pick them up hold them and rock them. The rocking chair was my best friend and then once they were deep in sleep, I would put them in the crib again Until my baby learned that the crib and his room is a very safe space now whenever he wakes up, he chills in his crib because he knows I will run to him. Consistency is key. He needs to know that you’ll be there immediately not waiting with a timer. I hope this helps someone. ❤️🙏

You want a chill baby? Be chill yourself. They rely on your nervous system. If you’re nervous and wound up - they’ll be the same way.

Yess!!! When baby is born play loud music, talk really loud, vacuum around where baby is, or watch a louder movie when baby is sleeping it helps them not wake up at every single sound and movement!!!

As a nanny, please don’t get the heated wipes or heated changing table. It makes the baby scream 100% of the time they aren’t at home getting changed and you don’t have those things. I’ve seen it too many times. The baby doesn’t need those and is better off without them in most cases.

Congrats on your chill baby!! Soooo we actually don’t get to create our baby’s temperament unfortunately! PS if any mother is watching this having any kind of guilt / shame or wondering “what’s wrong with my baby”. Nothing is wrong with your baby! Each baby is different and advice like this is ridiculous 🖤 Hope that helps x

When I think of “being chill,” I think more of being calm and present throughout every day life! Not freaking out over a spill, letting your kids being curious and learn independently (within reason), remaining calm while they’re having a meltdown. The sound machine is staying tho & I won’t be letting my kids cry it out. 😅

Girl no lol I specifically did not buy one and my baby was screaming all the time and couldn’t find any other way to console him. You CANNOT control what kind of baby you will have. Some of them are chill and some of them cranky. It’s normal.

I didn’t sleep train, my baby is 3 months now, and he only wakes up once or twice at night. The best thing you can do is create a routine before bed time, that way baby knows when it’s time to go to bed.

I have a chill baby that will sleep anywhere and we use the sound machine at night. Naps out of the house with no sound machine are not an issue. It’s luck of the draw

Please don’t listen to some random person. Every baby is different. Raise your babies with LOVE. That’s all that matters. Do what is BEST for your baby.

My mother in law was NOT quiet in the house during nap time when my husband was a baby and he is the heaviest sleeper ever. I was in a sound proof room as a baby and I don’t even go into a deep sleep most nights bc I’ll wake up to the smallest noise (I had 3 sleep studies done)

My baby is literally so easy. He started sleeping through the night on his own and was sleeping in his crib a week later. He likes bottles warmed up bc he has a sensitive stomach but seriously I lug him around everywhere and he’s fine. He literally falls asleep to the sound of the ac running 😅

this is terrible advice, child’s temperament doesn’t depend on the parenting style.
