@alex.petrakieva: Day 9/30: Oversharing, one take at a time 🎬 I had originally planned to leave my corporate job later in the year for a few very specific reasons: we were going back to 5 days in the office, raises and bonuses were pretty disappointing, and there was always the stress of layoffs hanging over our heads. But I ended up leaving earlier because getting fired was a very real fear for me. It wasn’t against the rules to have social media, but making money outside of my corporate job came with restrictions. Ultimately, leaving meant two things. I got to keep my job on my resume instead of explaining why I was fired, and I could work with whatever brands I wanted without worrying about company policies. So I left. My biggest piece of advice is to actually read your company’s social media and outside employment policies. Some companies are way stricter than others, and it’s better to know the rules. But I will say this. Taking the risk was worth it for me because I can now build whatever I want to build without fear! P.S.
