Hybe is pissing me off. This marketing os not working at all. BND is a successful group by any metric.

I'm sad and understand their worry, but aren't some groups also take years before their success or breakthrough right? Some of them even struggled more since their debut. Not invalidating our bnd boys though 🫂

im sick of hybe constantly promoting groups with shit songs and groups like boynextdoor producing real music aren’t reaching a wider audience

I think they're doing well but the company is definitely pressuring them and they probably also compare their success to other hybe groups too

I think boynextdoor is doing pretty well honestly, they kinda reminded me of seventeen. while seventeen was always popular, but I feel like seventeen didn't get into the limelight until 2022-2023 ish when fandom really grew rapidly. And that took them 7 years to solidify themselves, I think boynextdoor will have the same trajectory as them. Sure maybe not as impactful as cortis now, but I feel later on by the end of the generation they'll be hugee!

I support them with all my heart but honestly I feel like they should atleast hire some better lyric writers for the title track. Some of the current english lyrics are so random n just ruins the song for me. like wdym "hi turns to bye" "im on my money, im on my lonely"? also the new album has good songs, and as a bnd fan Im listening to all of them, but you can't say I'm wrong that some of them have a completely similar melody to other songs - Mainly "I Wonder". its just frustrating since theyre rlly talented n I want them to get bigger😭💖

one of the reason is also bad promotion and marketing techniques. like yk with other groups how they promote their song through tiktoks and fun challenges bnd does not do that

I have my SURGERY final in 2 days and somehow I’m stressing about this comeback more 😭 but I genuinely understand their anxiety. HOME is such a personal album and when you’ve given something your absolute all, of course you want people to hear it. So Onedoors, please keep streaming, voting, and talking about this album. BOYNEXTDOOR deserve so much more than being treated like a passing trend ❤️

I really dislike how some people reacted to these words just to push their own narrative or elevate their favs... They're fairly well-known, but outside of their fandom, public interest still seems limited. And that's exactly what BND are talking about: as artists who are deeply involved in creating their own music, they're afraid of being stuck in that "bubble" forever. They're doing well right now, and they experienced significant growth in popularity after IISILY. However, their last three comebacks have produced fairly similar results, and overall the numbers are comparable, with no major breakthrough. Not to mention that the industry never stands still. Teen fans grow up and lose interest, while others move on to newer, trendier groups. Even the audience and support they have today can disappear surprisingly quickly. And in an era where TikTok songs dominate the charts, it's even harder when you choose not to chase that path and instead stay focused on creativity and artistry. And let's be honest: this is how most mid-tier and smaller groups feel, even if they don't openly talk about it. Everyone wants to succeed, but if we look at fifth-generation boy groups alone, most of them are facing similar challenges. They're struggling to maintain the industry's attention and retain their fanbases (with the exception of one obvious group). That's exactly what "Viral" is about. Despite its title, it's not the kind of TikTok-friendly song many people initially assumed it would be. While the song does contain parts that could go viral, at its core it's about art and BND's desire, as artists, to be heard. Also, despite being a HYBE group, they didn't achieve instant success from day one. They had to carve out their own path and build their fanbase step by step. At the same time, being under HYBE obviously comes with pressure, as they're constantly compared to other groups that are supposedly achieving stronger results, and expectations are naturally much higher when you're tied to a major company. If KOZ and HYBE had handled everything perfectly from the beginning, things might look very different today....

Their worry probably comes from the fact that they are under hybe. Hybe groups specially the juniors do really get some advantage from the senior's popularity like half of their fandom surely stan their senior (not that i am discrediting their talents) and bnd for some reason they don't have that maybe bcs they don't really stick with what other hybe grps do and they felt like under hybe but not so hybe ( i dont know if i make sense). I hope they don't push theirselves way too hard bcs good things takes time, even the groups way older than them took up so many years to finally gain the momentum.
