Nabura lahat yun. Nabura lahat,” she said through tears. Rovelyn shared that her son dreamed of reaching the UAAP and one day becoming an MVP, hoping to bring pride not only to himself but also to their family. “Sabi niya, pag ako makakarating sa UAAP, bibigyan kita talaga ng UAAP MVP o kung ma-PBA, PBA MVP. Yun yung pangarap niya, magkaroon ng pangalan na hindi naibigay sa kanyang ama,” she recalled. She admitted that she is still struggling to accept her son’s death. “Nong nalaman ko na wala na siya, hindi ko talaga matanggap. Bakit talaga? Yan ang tanong ko—why?” Despite their hardships, Rovelyn said her family has always valued dignity and respect above all else. “Mahirap kami pero malaki yung respeto.
