For our parade weapon it should be the Lee Enfield no1 mk3. It saw us through two world wars and had a long line of development.

I'm sure it's an excellent rifle which is most important but I'm surprised they don't get some special ones made for parade with blued steel chrome brass and wood like other countries since the modern rifles are a utilitarian tool of war and clash with the drippy vintage style dress uniform
