In Exodus, it clearly says God hardened pharaoh’s heart. Was pharaoh unable to stop God from hardening his heart? If not, then he doesn’t have free will. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not only that, but according to this belief, all of us became sinners because of the actions of two people. Then we're told that the only way to be saved is to accept salvation through Jesus. But if we don't, we're punished for a sin we never personally committed in the first place. That's what I struggle with: we supposedly inherited a sinful condition because of someone else's mistake, yet the responsibility to fix it falls entirely on us. We have to take action to receive salvation, and if we don't, we face the consequences. How is that fair?

If the devil blinds people, free will is a myth. 🔷 Blaming a devil completely destroys personal accountability. 🔷 Historically, early Judaism had no "Big Evil" entity. 🔷 Original Hebrew texts used "ha-satan" simply as a title for a heavenly prosecutor—a guy in the office doing his job, not a cosmic monster. 🔷 This changed during the 6th century BCE Babylonian exile when Jews came into contact with the Persian Empire. 🔷 Persia's state religion, Zoroastrianism, introduced a strict cosmic dualism: a good god vs. an independent evil spirit. 🔷 To counter this exact Persian influence and protect absolute monotheism, Isaiah 45:7 explicitly states: "I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the LORD, do all these things." 🔷 The cosmic devil was retroactively invented to morally whitewash God from this absolute responsibility. 🔷 The Book of Job exposes this logical patchwork: the ancient framing narrative stages an absurd bet with the devil. 🔷 For an omniscient God who already knew the outcome, this bet was completely pointless. 🔷 It reduces the tragic death of Job's children to pure divine arbitrariness. 🔷 Stop using an adopted Persian concept and theological patchwork as a scapegoat to bypass human free will.
