I'm very thankful that they're strict towards me nung bata pa ako, and look at me now. Hindi lumalabas ng bahay always nasa kwarto, which I find it difficult when I try to socialize with ppl and naging introvert ako. Nahirapan akong I express sarili kung emotions, nag i-isolate o sinasarili ko lang mga problema ko because I'm very afraid na mag open up sa iba and I have trust issues. Seeing people my age makes me thankful that my parents were strict with me growing up—it probably saved me from a lot of bad choices

Grateful ako na naging strict parents and lola ko in a way na may boundary pa din sila, look at me now dahil dyan hindi napariwara at nabuntis ng maaga katulad ng sinsabi ng mga relatives ko sakin at nakapagtapos ang nagtratrabaho na as a nurse.

mas lamang ang cons kaysa sa pros tbh, you have a higher chance of sabotaging your career if you remain sheltered throughout your college years due to lack of comms and negotiation skills. Although matutunan mo yan, it will be your greatest disadvantage against others kapag maghahanap na kayo ng trabaho :))

At first, I didn’t understand them because I grew up doing bahay to school 🔁 I also used to think, “Why can’t I be like other people who get to hang out all the time?” But now I understand they were just doing it for my own good. I’m so grateful to have good, protective parents.

the issue is entirely different from this take. tho yes i do get it that there’s a consequence bawat choice and path mo, pero hindi ba that’s how life should be? ang layo lang talaga sa scope of what we should be discussing. mahirap ikumpara ang friends and classmate hangouts vs sa team building na may hawak yung institution (that wasnt even properly taken care of!) 1/3
