That’s not even what’s annoying her. It’s that she had to spend $500 just to be told to use the shit she probs already tried.

Omg! My son has had this severe eczema from the time he was 6 months. He’s 21 and still dealing with this. If I hear ‘use Cera Ve’ one more time! 🤬🤬 Thank you for your information!

The ONLY absolutely ONLY thing that has worked for my severe eczema is Opzelura! It’s brilliant.

I’m on Dupixent injections every 2 weeks, Desonide and Tacrolimus ointment for face, Triamcinolone for body also Zyrtec, Pepcid, Singulair pills plus allergy shots every week. Finally I have relief! Not complete but manageable 🥺

So if my life long eczema cleared up by avoiding trigger foods high in histamines is it likely that it wasn’t eczema at all and just allergies this whole time?

My child has eczema and is lactose intolerant. One of the ways I can tell he has had milk is if he has an eczema flare.

I am middle-aged and mine still flares up really extremely sometimes. I basically just lather up with Vaseline and wait for it to heal

I ended up starting to make my own soap over all this. I think my skin just hates commercial products 😭

The frustration is the MD not trying anything prescriptive & just doing OTC which the OP has most likely tried exactly or similar.

Holy crap, lived like this for years. turns out it was a developing allergy to dairy and wheat. I had to do a good challange and just not eat those foods ever again lol. also cured my migraines.

I hate dr who don’t even ask questions to find out whats going on and just hand you a generic option. Thanks for explaining this and hopefully she will get the help she needs

I am new to the eczema club. Patch test all negative. Should I pursue other allergy tests? Dermatologist didnt suggest. I also live by a volcano that's been erupting every 10 days or so and wonder if its that causing it?????

This exact scenario happened to my son. We made an appointment paid for the appointment had to miss school and work to go to the appointment, and the doctor gave him the same lotion we had already tried for months and some mild soap that obviously we had already tried time and money wasted.

Protopic cream and 20-40mg of cetirizine is the only thing that helps me manage mine! (Trigger is a severe pollen and dust allergy)

She’s probably also upset because of the report that recently came out that the brand was found to have harmful components

Once I simplified my skincare and using barrier support brands like cerave and avene or la Roche posay I have had less issues. Trends are not eczema’s friend
