@yvonneahernehaircreative: The green water represents unwanted green tones in the hair. We are taught to add red, the opposite colour on the colour wheel. Here’s the problem. Neutralising alone doesn’t create beautiful hair colour. This is why we see so many toners and colour corrections end up looking flat, dull or muddy. As colourists, our job isn’t just to deal with unwanted tones. It’s to create the tones we actually want to see. If I want a creamy blonde, I might need to reduce some yellow, but I also need to think about softness, brightness, warmth, beige, pearl or whatever suits the end goal.
