Here are my top 5 recommendations for scalp serums that I am officially adding to The Abbey Yung Method! I’ve spent the last 8+ months researching this category because it’s one I knew I had to approach differently than others. This category is extremely complex not only because of all of the different claimed benefits and the different types of evidence/research available from brands (or lack thereof in many cases), but also because of the FDA restrictions on what brands legally can and cannot say. I also obviously can’t speak to personal results like a reduction in shedding for all of these products at the same time, especially when I wasn’t experiencing hair loss prior to using scalp serums. So what felt right to me is to reach out to all of the brands I was reviewing to get information on key ingredients, clinical testing, patents, publications, etc. so that I could still provide a handful of options for you to choose from that I felt confident recommending. I also of course still tested out every serum to make sure that I liked the texture and that I didn’t have any issues with it (like greasy residue), so that was a key part of my recommendation too. Based on all of that, I landed on this lineup that I think is a good place to start if you’re interested in using a scalp serum for scalp health, healthier hair growth, or improved hair retention. More information on how these serums work, key ingredients, supporting evidence, sources, etc on all of the scalp serums I looked into and why I did/didn’t add them (like Kerastase, The Ordinary & Cecred), is on my YT channel! You’ll see lots of videos with way more info than I have time to share in short videos here. #scalpserum #scalphealth #hairloss #hairgrowth #abbeyyungmethod
