Nabil Ibrahim :
If a person commits a crime, responsibility lies with that individual and anyone who participated in or assisted in it, not with millions of people who share the same nationality, religion, or ethnicity. Every society has both criminals and decent people, and generalizing the actions of one individual to an entire group often leads to injustice, increased tension, and hatred.
At the same time, it is natural for people to be angry about a violent crime and to demand that the perpetrator be held accountable, as well as effective security policies. However, there is a significant difference between:
• Holding the criminal responsible for their actions.
• Punishing or blaming an entire group because of the actions of a single individual.
For this reason, in democratic societies, people are supposed to be judged based on their individual actions, not on their identity, background, or origin.
