@meghannmcuniff: Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Huey Cotton is allowing jurors to submit questions for witnesses in the trial over the Iskanders' wrongful death lawsuit against Rebecca Grossman and Scott Erickson. They had a few for Grossman's husband, Peter Grossman, on Monday (June 8 ) as they consider possible punitive damages. Grossman, a nationally prominent plastic surgeon, is a key witness as the Iskanders' lawyer Brian Panish questioned him about shielding assets. The first question concerned the lawyer Grossman has working on his brother's trust, from which he took money. "Does Aaron Bregman represent anybody aside from your family and or his with respect to trust matters?" "I have no knowledge of that," Grossman answered. "Have there been any changes to the ownership of properties or investments that you and your wife owned before the accident?"' Grossman said their home on Jim Bridger Road in Hidden Hills, California, "was changed from ownership jointly based on the promissory note, and then the deed was changed to me, and then I changed it to a trust in order to sell the home. Then there was a home that we owned at the time of the accident in Westlake Village, and that was sold right at the accident. It was in escrow at the time of the accident, and the property closed shortly after that accident." "So, before the accident, you and your wife owned the Jim Bridger home?" Judge Cotton asked. "Correct," Grossman answered. "After the accident, you moved it to a trust?" Cotton asked. "After the accident, we moved it to a trust in the last year, sir," Grossman answered. A juror also asked, "If you can't get information or view the Bitcoin account, how can you know if it's been sold or transferred?" which refers to Grossman's testimony that he can't access his wife's Bitcoin account. "It's a good point. I can tell you that nothing active has been done," Grossman answered. Judge Cotton struck his answer as nonresponsive. The Iskanders' lawyer Brian Panish followed up about the Hidden Hills mansion. "Yeah, when the judge was asked you about transferring properties, the Jim Bridger house was transferred from a trust of you and your wife, correct?" Panish asked. "Yes," Grossman answered. "To just you?" Panish asked. "Yes, sir," Grossman answered. Jurors heard closing arguments on Tuesday and began deliberating.
