@thenordicexplorer: Have you heard about Hveradalir Mud Baths yet? 🖤🧖‍♀️ Just 30 minutes from Reykjavík, this brand-new geothermal spot is completely free to visit — and it might be one of the coolest up-and-coming experiences in Iceland right now. ♨️ The experience: Two mud pools and a hot tub, all fed directly by the geothermal area right next door. The hot spring water carries the mud naturally into the pools — once it settles, you scrape it from the bottom and apply it straight to your skin. It's been tested and is genuinely good for your skin ✨ 🧖‍♀️ Tips before you go: Keep your hair in a bun — you don't want mud in it. There are changing facilities and a shower on site, but no lockers, so leave valuables in the car or at home. 👷‍♀️ Still a work in progress, but already worth the visit! 🅿️ Parking: Entrance is free, but parking costs around 1,000 ISK for a standard car. Pay via the Parka app or at the machine by the entrance.
