@kaylafaber7: #onthisday He felt like be was being pressured to go on hospice. They forced him.to return home every month to get more meds when all he wanted was to trave. Some medical trauma I will never be able to speak about. It hurts too much#cancer #hospice #widowsoftiktok
He did what he wanted. He was a truly brave and strong warrior ❤️🙏

i’m sorry dear you did wonderful caring for him and the girls at the same time… maybe channel some of your grief into creating new laws for pain patients it’s just an idea.

I think the tough part were the laws that got in his way. National Hospice with cross state providers would have been his best option for staying on the road. I don’t know what his meds were but with all the schedule drug laws I do see how they can’t give it to him. It just sucks. Because there should be an exception for terminal patients. And they should be able to do things on their terms.

Whether they agree or not, it’s his decision to make. Bodily autonomy is a basic right 🩷

I will always believe that his story will continue to help in so many ways for years to come. Maybe it’s this video someone remembers when their loved one is diagnosed. Maybe they know ahead of time, the hurdles they could come across and start preparing based on that. It’s the things we don’t see or know about that actually have probably had the greatest impact. He lives on in so many little networks ❤️

That coercion is not ok. Brian did palliative care and they gave him whatever meds he wanted/needed without doing hospice

My Dad Got Everything He Wanted & Needed Being Brutally Ill For 42 Years. He Was A Refractory Patient and EVERY DMARD Failed. He Was Only In Hospice For About 1 Day.

This made me so mad for you both. Palliative gave me three months of controlled meds, six months of everything else. And they scheduled virtual visits for everything else. American healthcare is such a mess and it only hurts people.
