I live in Thun, where the Aare River begins its journey out of the lake. The river you just went swimming in is basically our backyard. One of the most typical local summer activities is floating from Thun to Bern on inflatable boats. It’s about a three-hour trip, and you can stop along the way for a barbecue, a swim, or just to enjoy the scenery. I do it around ten times every summer. It’s one of those classic Bernese traditions that locals grow up with and never get tired of. 🇨🇭☀️🏞️

Floating down the river is me, my sister and my cousins favorite activity. Have to add this one to the list to do. Sunriver resort in Oregon was so nice we did it twice in our week visit. Although we rented tubes

Man, I wish I hadn’t seen this. Or my bank account wishes I didn’t. We just did Switzerland this year but in December. It was the best trip of my life but it appears I need to go back in summer.
