I was also thinking about how popular brands comment on viral videos that I hope creators get paid. When I start doing content I would delete the million/billion dollar brand comments unless they want to pay to place comment or sponsor me. It’s easy way to use one’s influence to direct them to their product that seems like free advertising to me but I might be petty.

Yep bc in essence influencers are walking billboards and marketing teams. Teams they didn’t want to pay to begin with but influencers were willing to do it for less (even if they pay you). Divesting from influencing and celebrity is what will balance this back out. But with the advancement, exploitation, and weaponizing of ai, the bubble won’t burst.
