Midnight Requiem :
“He didn’t lie to you, Pete, he lied to us.” Why would this phrase even be used if not to clarify things for us? Niran’s intention was never to hurt Pete or take away his only family. Yes, he didn’t tell Pete about the whole process, mostly because Pete was impulsive and still had anger issues. He also didn’t tell elders about his plan because they would never have agreed to free Qirong or take such a risk. Either way, he knew he would end up as guilty. But I will never believe Niran planned to betray Pete, seal a monster, and just call it a day? Do we really think Niran, who finally found a reason to smile, cared for Pete, willingly gave him a part of his soul, would still ruthlessly betray him? I don’t know how he planned to save Pete’s sister, but I believe that for him, Pete and his family were the PRIORITY. He would never have left this case unresolved. The look on his face, how deeply hurt he was that someone so important thought he was using him and lying to him, his silence speaks volumes. He once disappointed the person who mattered most to him and carried that burden his whole life🥺he would never do that to Pete😭🤍
